There is a taxi rank directly in front of the Arrivals Hall. Alternatively, you may choose to pre-book a taxi to pick you up at the airport. Rhodes Airport “Diagoras” is the fourth busiest airport in Greece and the ninety - seventh busiest airport in Europe by passenger traffic. In 2020, it handled 1.521.327 passengers, a 72% decrease from 2019 as well as 13.923 aircraft movements, a decrease of 58% from 2019. It is used by over 40 airlines flying to more than 90 destinations in 24 different countries. The airport has one runway (with a length of 3,306m) along with two operational terminals, which cover 21.000 square meters.
Airport Facilities: ATMs, Two Business Lounges (Filoxenia Lounge and Skyserv Lounge), Baggage wrap service, Cafes, Restaurants, Duty-Free shops, First Aid Station, free WiFi, Charging Stations for electronic devices. ‘Diagoras’ does not have air bridges, so boarding and disembarking require the use of buses.

Rhodes, the largest of the Dodecanese islands, is located northeast of Crete. The principal city of the island (population 55.000) is also named Rhodes. It is one of the most attractive tourist destinations in Greece. Rhodes' nickname is ‘The Island of the Knights’, named after the Knights of Saint John of Jerusalem, who ruled the island from 1310 to 1522. In 1988, the Medieval City of Rhodes was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site.
