There is a taxi rank directly in front of the Arrivals Hall. Alternatively, you may choose to pre-book a taxi to pick you up at the airport. The driver will be waiting for you in the arrivals hall holding a sign with your name on it. Karpathos Airport is the twenty-third busiest airport in Greece by passenger traffic. In 2020, it handled 51,315 passengers, a 80% decrease from 2018. It is used by over 11 airlines flying to more than 17 destinations in 6 countries. Karpathos airport opened in 1970.
The airport has one runway (with a length of 2,399 m), along with one operational Terminal which covers 12.500 square meters.

Karpathos is the second largest of the Greek Dodecanese islands, in the southeastern Aegean Sea. It is located about 47 km southwest of Rhodes, in the part of the Mediterranean which is called the Carpathian Sea. Pigadia, the capital and main port of the island, is located in the southeast of the island.
